The air frame at the SAC museum south of Omaha – “Greased Lightening” – is the B58 that flew Tokyo to London in 8 hours and 35 minutes – in 1963!! – High Performance ?? Lightly loaded climb rate just shy of 46,000 feet per minute – DAMN! That’s a climb rate of about 520 MPH!!
