I was stumbling through Amazon and ran across this . . .

An Ulu by Hibben – with a pakka wood handle and a sheath . . .

I started using a Ulu in the kitchen awhile back – my grand daughter picked me one up in Alaska as a souvenir for me – and I started using it – they are great in the kitchen – this Hibben comes with a sheath – personally I would not carry it – to each their own . . .

The Hibben has better ergonomics than a “regular” Ulu – and the blade is sharpened on both sides like a normal knife rather than a chisel edge like a “regular” Ulu – The Hibben is sharp A F – OH MY . . .

If you do the “kitchen thing” and you appreciate knives – my suggestion would be to pick up one of the “souvenir” Ulu’s – they are real inexpensive – 10 to 15 dollars – if you like the feel and the methodology of the way they cut – pick up the Hibben – at 39 bucks it is one incredible kitchen knife – it won’t replace any of your knives – it compliments a set of knives simply because some chopping / dicing tasks it does so well – give one a try and let me know what you think – Me? – I really like them . . .
Found a Hibben Ulu with a Rosewood handle – Hmmm . . .
