Public Hero #1 from Smoky Mountain

Most of you folks with any age on you remember Hopalong Cassidy on the big screen from Saturdays at your local movie house and I’m sure there are some of you out there who may even remember “Hoppy” from the radio shows . . .

Well SMKW has not forgotten “Hoppy” – they produce one of the coolest “novelty” knives out in the wilds – The Hopalong Cassidy Bowie knife ( RR1927 ) – and obviously from the title of this post that’s what we are looking at today . . .

And the box itself is way cool – and quite large – the reason for that will be obvious . . .

And considering the $30 dollar price point – the art work on the knife is really neat!

Even the rustic – almost period correct handle is engraved . . .

Even the blank side of the blade is nicely finished – not a high polish – but still a good looking consistent finish . . .

The reason for the large box?

The knife comes with a wall mount display – which for me just pushes the cool factor way up on the scale . . .

The blade is 440a – nothing fancy but it’s functional – it is sharp and can be used to cut “stuff” with – but why? And the scales are nothing exotic – just “wood” – but they look and feel good – and the Bowie balances pretty good . . .

Not really a practical knife – but the cool factor of it hanging on YOUR wall – Oh Hell Yes!

But Wait! There’s more!!

While ordering a few more sharpy pointy Christmas gifts I realized the Zorro knife was in stock – I was like click click take my money . . .

At the time of this posting both of these are in stock – and I know they sell the dickens out of these for Christmas gifts – so if YOU are thinking of something special AND different for someone ( or yourself – LMAO! ) for Christmas – Don’t hesitate . . .

Do you think a post on the Zorro knife might be coming? Heh-Heh . . .

Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
