The Sony ICF2010 was a very good radio when stacked against its contemporaries – Very Good. In the “portable” class it was hard to beat. Finding them nowadays in GOOD shape? Good luck to you – the most common issue is an intermittent display.
I really got lucky with mine – my buddy “Asian girls in bubble baths” Greg came up with this and sold it to me for an incredibly reasonable price.
This 40 plus year old radio will still “get off the porch and run with the big dogs” – but – I really don’t use it much anymore . . . SDR’s are just about the way to go for “desk top” use and the extremely portable XHDATA D-808 will pretty much ( with some compromise – one thing – the speaker could be better ) run with the Sony.
What gets to these is the ribbon cables become brittle and the wrong bump at the wrong angle and it is pretty much done – watch the video when he pulls the back to see the cables – and there aren’t any more replacements available . . .

Enjoy the video . . .
