SDR Waterfall “Stuff” from Ask Dave – What’s That Funny Diagonal Line?

Start with 3 pics – I’m fumbling around trying to take these and I’m like – take a video – it will be more visible!

So I waited – and waited – and captured it on video for you . . .

What you are hearing in the background? That’s China Radio International – a 500 KW transmitter in Kumming-anning – the blank line – straight across and going down with the waterfall is a lightning strike from roughly 30 miles away – the worlds biggest spark gap transmitter!

And probably the best – and “simplest” – explanation out there for what YOU ( and YOU also ) are seeing on your SDR display . . .

Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
