was it a waste? the research rabbit holes from this program were proven valuable – but the best part? the russians spent railroad boxcars of money on developing and deploying the mig-25 – its primary purpose being to intercept this aircraft, and it never served in its primary role – so i guess the xb-70 program can be considered somewhat a success as it helped bankrupt them . . .
