Airspy Discovery & Airspy HF+ Comparison / Before and After HF+ Modification

What happens when you bypass the R3 resistor in the AirSpy HF+ Does it rally affect the MF, LF, and VLF reception?? I wouldn’t try this – but that is just me. My old Mark1 eyeballs and soldering skills ( or lack thereof ) would more than likely trash a perfectly good SDR. LMAO!

Folks – there is a ton of stuff out there on shortwave to find – PRO TIP : turn that piece of shit TV off and stop filling your mind with propaganda – read – take a walk – go to the range – listen to shortwave – fishing – for fuck’s sake just turn that TV off! I can talk to someone for about 2 minutes and I know pretty much how much TV news programming ( why do you think they call it programming ??? ) they watch – a 10 minute conversation and I can pretty much tell you what station is doing the programming – although not so much anymore since the programmers are all pretty much using the same exact script . . .

Noise Cancellation Part #4

And for you folks – part #4 of the series -me – personally I’m going with one of these from DXENGINEERING – more than likely the MFJ-1026 – just seems like the way to go for me – YMMV . . .

Currently running the Flamingo ( nooelec ) AM notch fliter – the RTL-SDR FM band pass filter – and it has helped some with noise – I was getting AM and FM “artifacts” all across the spectum and running these has helped that some.

I will keep playing with this as well as a mini-whip I’m going to try to cobble-up mount ( maybe kludge mount would be more accurate – LOL! ) this weekend – long wires in this type of electrical environment ARE noise magnets – you just learn to work around it as well as to just live with it. And the filters are helping some with the broadcast band interference – yes I know – one step at a time . . .
