One of the best “Hollywood” depictions of B-17 operations is “12 O’Clock High” with Gregory Peck and one of my favorite actors Dean Jagger – who won an academy award for best actor in a supporting role – great movie – but it was a movie – a dramatization of events – BUT if you get a chance by all means watch it – what you’re watching here is from the actual people involved “In Their Own Words” . . .

Well worth the time you will spend watching – Enjoy!

Decent enough series – Why THIS episode?? It was directed by none other than William Conrad!

Not only was he a prolific actor and announcer {he was still appearing as “Matt Dillon” on CBS Radio’s “GUNSMOKE” at the time, and narrating the “Rocky the Flying Squirrel” segments on “ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS”}, he also directed various episodes of other ZIV television programs {“TOMBSTONE TERRITORY”, “BOLD VENTURE”, “MEN INTO SPACE”, “BAT MASTERSON”, et. al.}, as well as producing their “KLONDIKE” series in the 1960-’61 season.”
