7 Yards – I took shots at the upper left – Dan ( the range guy ) took 2 at the bar code – and the Blushing Bride took a mag at the primary target – first shots with it for her . . .

Another mag at 7 yards – dialed it right in . . .

Did a bunch of two shot strings – focus was on mag changes – grip – thumb placement – wrist lock – manipulation of controls – sight versus target picture – she is doing really good with getting the grip consistent – the two all the way on the right I started her off with so she could see the pistol “bounce” with your wrist “unlocked” – that was actually hard for me to shoot it that way – LOL!

And these were quick “2” shots – pop/pop – they were about 3/4 of a second or so splits . . . – once we get everything dialed in then the accuracy will come right along with it – if you don’t have a consistent grip and presentation you cannot have consistent performance on the target . . . the nice part is she understands it and she is willing to put forth the effort . . .

She lobbed some 230 grain hardball with the Colt M1991A1 – She be loving her some 1911 45 ACP . . .

And she finished up with her new carry piece . . .

Enough teasing Bruce – What’s she got ?? – Well I was stumbling through my LGS and picking up some bore brushes and asking about a special order Colt – we all had a good laugh over THAT – anywhere from 3 months to 2 years – I told him I would let him know – he said he won’t hold his breath – so sitting in the used “stuff” was one with my Blushing Brides name on it . . .

The little darling desperately needed a bath – the gun!! – not my Blushing Bride !! – but at 395 I’m like – Here, take my money – one mag no box – but at that price point – you bet! Serial number places it mid 1997 production – Cleaned up REAL NICE – D/A trigger pull is smooth and just under 10 lbs – the S/A trigger pull is a phenomenally clean, crisp break at 2 1/2 lbs – Oh My My – Oh Hell Yes – will probably upgrade the sights to a fiber optic front / black rear notch – but as good as she is running it – really won’t do anything until she hits the wall with it . . .

As long as we had the M1991A1 out I did a 7 yard mag dump as fast as I could run it – God Bless America – IT WAS GOOD!! If any of y’all wanna buy a couple thousand rounds of 45 hardball and bring it over – being the nice guy that I am – I’d let you watch me shoot it !! – LMAO !!

And if you look back up at the pic of the CZ you see a stock in the top of the picture – you can’t believe just how clean you can get the bore on an old ( 1943 ) Mosin-Nagant 91/30, but it started out as “dark bore – rifling good” and it is just about like new – but it is NOT something for the faint-hearted to do – not counting soaking time – about 6 hours of labor . . .
