Anybody Remember – Toro Flymo Mowers??

Several people around the neighborhood had them when we was kids – running around tearing shit up – one old boy would let us run it – thinking back – I don’t think I can ever recall him cutting his own grass after he bought his Flymo – he allways had 2 or 3 kids wanting to cut his lawn – the guy was pretty sharp . . .

Enjoy!

Not sure if they are still for sale here in the states – Flymo is still going strong in the UK – I wouldn’t mind having one just to have one – cool stuff!

Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!

It Happened in the Kitchen – Parts 1 & 2

Get your collective minds out of the gutter – From 1941 a two part series on the modern all electric kitchen ( Y’all a bunch of pervs – no judgement here – not a bad thing – just pointing out the obvious – LOL! )

And Part 2 . . .

Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Not only are Fish Heads Cheap but they taste better when prepared in your modern kitchen!!

Finally Friday Music

Some weeks are longer than others and some are shorter – how is that possible?? They are all 168 hours – could it be perceptions?? – Or perhaps reflections?

Wow – 1970 was just a blur – let’s fast forward 46 years . . .

That was quite a change . . .

David Bowie with Annie Lennox – a rehearsal video . . .

Now this next thing I stumbled across and I have wanted to use it in Friday music for awhile – I figured we are all emotionally prepared enough for it – if you been around for more than 2 or 3 posts – you’re ready . . .

Now let’s change the perception ever so slightly . . .

And I managed to find a clip without his sunglasses . . . Speaking of sunglasses . . .

and just a slight shift . . .

And after that one you knew damn good and well this was coming . . .

Miami Vice was one of the most iconic shows of the 80’s . . . and the music from the 80’s is some pretty good stuff – amazing that you can be in the middle of a pile of shit and you here a song on the radio – and your whole perception changes . . .

Maybe do a pile of 80’s stuff for several Fridays . . . I’ll leave you with this . . .

“Actress Bette Davis, at the time 73 years old, wrote letters to Carnes, Weiss, and DeShannon to thank all three of them for making her “a part of modern times” and said her grandson now looked up to her. After their Grammy wins, Davis sent them roses as well.” – Wikipedia

Music certainly changed Bette Davis’s grandson’s perspective, didn’t it?? Went from being grandma to “something special” – and yet she was the same person and “special” all along . . .
