and the same basic episode with the final cast selections in place –
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
This is enough to make you want to rush right over to your local Tandy Leather and realize that you have absolutely no clue – LMAO !! – if you can’t resist or just want to window shop – head over to Andrews Leather and try not to lick the monitor . . .
One of the best “music” videos on the web – Hosted by Johnny Carson – the band directed by Quincy Jones – and “The Rat Pack” entertaining us for an hour and a half – Dean Martin ?? He was a natural comedian that could sing . . . Get some popcorn – kick your feet up and prepare to be be entertained – Your Welcome . . .
“The Frank Sinatra Spectacular – The Rat Pack Live”
You really gotta hand to the Italian People – they make some fine looking things . . .
Come on Bruce – we ain’t looking for Italian cars Pics !! . . . Ok – Fine – no more Italian cars . . .
As much as we “appreciate” these good looking Italian exports – enough already – let’s see the Uberti !! Well I suppose . . .
These pics really don’t do it justice – a LOT better looking in front of you than in a pic – the fit and finish is real good – I used this left side pic as it shows the only “spot” where it ain’t quite right – top of the grip where it meets the frame – follow the seam – it’s just a smidge short of a “good to very good” – it’s good but just not quite above that level – the only real “spot” on the entire piece . . .
A little different angle and lighting – not really noticeable – the “varnish” finish on the grips is growing on me – might have to find some brass grip screws . . .
The color case hardening is good looking and the bluing is real consistent . . .
The “checkering” on the hammer is spot on – not to smooth you slide on it – yet not so aggressive it rubs a raw spot on your thumb after firing a few cylinders through it – I’m really starting to like that “varnish” finish . . .
And the wide smooth trigger is real sweet . . .
At 2 lbs 7 oz loaded it is not going to carry as easy as say a S&W Shield – with a 5 1/2 inch barrel it is NOT a pocket gun!! – LOL – Here is a look with the Simply Rugged holster and cartridge case with 6 spare rounds . . .
Actually carries well in a cross draw manner – if you are going to carry full size or “duty” weapon sized “stuff” a good belt becomes an absolute necessity – GO HERE to Hank’sand take a look – I personally believe they are the best value on the market – you CAN spend more on a belt – a Hell of a lot more – but you’re starting at the point of diminishing returns – is that belt you’re spending 20 or 50 or 200 dollars more than the price of one of Hank’s belts going to be “that” much better ?? That’s gonna be a question you have to answer for yourself . . .
Glamor shot?? Of course . . .
Some thoughts ?? – The 5 1/2 inch barrel is just about too much – the Bisley frame helps you with that – the “varnish” finish is growing on me – points good / shoots good – took about 25 rounds to dial it in – even in .45 Colt you can call your shots or “pick the shirt button” where you want the magic hole to appear – the Bisley frame is a little different way of managing recoil – the “higher grip / lower bore axis ” thing does make a difference – overall the fit/finish and mechanics of the gun for the price point is a great value
Are “cowboy” guns for every one ?? – No they’re not – best thing I can tell you is if you know someone that has one – see if you can go shoot with them – find out or ask what caliber and buy a box or two of ammo – ammo is always appreciated – give it a try – you never know – you might really like single action shooting !!
I was going to post some target pics – however – you really need to take pictures of your targets BEFORE you throw them away – Oh Well – I’ll just have to burn up some .45 Colt next week in addition to .45ACP – LMAO
Some extra thoughts for no extra charge – looking at them side by side – I’m going to order a holster in ox blood – love that color – tried my new super duper fancy ass camera – that is going to be a learning curve, for real – but I’m going to use it going forward unless all I have available is the cellphone so try not to be to harsh about the pics for a while – and did I mention the fact that the look of the “varnish” finish is starting to grow on me ? . . . Well . . . I just ordered my holster in oxblood – Damn! – I can resist most anything except temptation – LMAO !!
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
Wow !! – Just Wow- the B-47 was a good sized aircraft to be doing this kinda stuff in – and it was done in the course of “normal operations” for a time. The stress on the air frames added up and SAC eventually stopped employing toss bombing with them as the wings starting shedding off of the aircraft – THAT would definitely spoil your day !!
Not 100% certain I could have talked myself into doing it – but it had to have been one Hell of a Ride . . .
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
From Hickok45 – he points out the big difference right up front – fit and finish is the biggest driver of manufacturing costs – they both shoot well – it’s the bling thing at play more than functional differences . . .
My favorite carry piece is a RIA GI 1911 ( looking back through a bunch of posts I don’t think I ever reviewed it – I will have to remedy that ! ) – I upgraded the grips / sights / recoil spring – and the recoil spring upgrade to a Wilson Combat flat wound spring had nothing to do with ant functional aspect – it just”felt” different recoil wise than the Sig Tac Ops – so I swapped out the recoil spring . . .

Prior to the act of treason known as The National Firearms Act of 1934 you could buy these mail order and the postman would deliver it right to your doorstep – Tell me that sweet little lie about “a free country” again . . .
