Last night, Speaker of the House Pelosi indulged in a bit of petty political grandstanding. She methodically ripped up the State of the Union report which Trump had handed her prior to his address.

Most folks seem to see this as either dissing the Prez, or standing up to the Orangeman Bad, depending largely on party affiliation. I see it as a violation of 44 U.S. Code § 3106. Unlawful removal, destruction of records.
A lot of people forget that the SOTU address isn’t the real Constitutionally-required SOTU report. It’s just a speech. Presidents didn’t even do the speech until Woodrow Wilson decided it would be a great PR move. The formal report is the document Trump handed her.
Some may wish to argue that the papers were merely a transcript of the speech and not the report. But that was still a formal document presented to Congress by the President of the United States, a public record. She destroyed it. That’s a crime.
Best case for Pelosi is that she’s too far gone mentally to understand that she’s not supposed to destroy records. In that case, she needs to be removed from office for mental incompetence.

F104 Starfighter

No way in Hell could I not include this . . .
Wiki has a good page on the Starfighter HERE – It was a very fast aircraft but very short legged – external stores slowed it down some but the extra fuel helped with the range limitations to some degree – they were used by a variety of countries and I believe Italy used them up until sometime in 2004. There is also a group utilizing them – they did a bunch of airshows with them but I am not sure if they are still doing shows as they have found a LOT of uses for the platform and are staying busy – their website is HERE . . . if they are still doing shows ( and I don’t think they are ) and you ever get a chance to see them do not pass it up – they are impressive – they pretty much run a whole bunch of throttle through the whole routine – staying just under supersonic!! Saw them at OFFUTT AFB years back and they stole the show!!

Not a good video – you get a view of the scale model that the mock-up was based on and the rest is footage of the F105 Thunder Chief – which consisted of 1 B52 engine – fuel tanks – and wings – and not a whole lot more . . .
And there is this from Wiki – it never made it past mock up . . .
There were several scale model kits made over the years . . .

Had it been built the xf-103 would have been interesting to say the least – take off and run up to mach 1 plus then switch over to a ramjet – one Hell of a ride – that never made it past the mock up stage . . .
