Michael Bloomberg thinks he owns the ground you walk on. Literally. At least, that’s what a Bloomberg staffer told GRNC volunteers who protested Bloomberg’s campaign event in Greensboro. In the photo below, the staffer is trying to eject GRNC from a public sidewalk, claiming Bloomberg had “purchased” the sidewalk.

The F-105 – What a chunk! – flew over 20,000 sorties in Vietnam – could carry a bomb load in excess of what a B-17 could carry . . . Fully loaded take off weight around 50,000 lbs – Damn!!

Never incorporated into SAGE the F-105 was flown by reserve units up through the early 80’s – they had to pretty much let it go as it became too difficult to maintain – when the program was “current” – from the start up through Vietnam – it took about 150 man hours of maintenance for every flight hour – and the older the air frames became – those numbers increased – if memory serves me correctly The B-58 took somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 + man hours for every flight hour – also the landing gear were somewhat “fragile” – and you start to realize why some of these aircraft were let go . . .
