My granddaughter went out Friday night and Saturday night – far enough north and west to get out of the light blob of Sioux Falls – I have quite a pile to sort through – here’s one to get you started . . .
Also got two from ex son-in-law from the Hot Springs ( south of Rapid City ) I will get up in a post . . .

Decent video from Zenos Warbirds – and the SAC “Elite Guard” – they stood tall and looked good! And they were pretty damn hardcore back in the day – just saying . . .

Had this post saved for awhile, have a bunch of them half ready – time constraints have not been easy to work around – but since the announcement on the 7th of May of this year – the end of the program – well here we are . . .
Scouting had to be eliminated as a force in American society – not the peripherals – the camping / hiking / etc. but the core purpose of the program HAD to be eliminated – all the “stuff” – camping and such – was there to interest boys in the program – the core purpose of the program was designed for one singular purpose – when you go beyond all the smoke, mirrors, and bull shit – the program was to identify leadership potential in young men – develop that leadership potential – and produce leaders!
Can’t be having that shit going on anymore! Leaders Bad!! Can’t be having young men who are confident – able to assess a given situation – take charge and lead people through issues that occur – move into industry and government and LEAD by example – and not prostrate themselves before their government masters and think through the bull shit spoon fed to them by what passes for media propaganda! ( fixed it for you )
So many of the military LEADERS that have served America – through WW2 and onward were scouts. The men who served in SAC? The vast majority were scouts or Masons – or both – gee, I wonder why?
Sad day when an old friend passes away . . .

One of the ongoing projects on the USS New Jersey has been deck replacement – which raises the question – “Where do you even get 43,000 sq ft of teak?”
