A Time Capsule on Celluloid : “Trapped By Television” (1936)

From Wiki – – An inventor is working on his latest creation, a new form of television monitor and camera, but is struggling to complete his invention due to lack of funds. His monetary problems are compounded by an aggressive bill collector looking for payments and competition from a rival scientist. When organized crime figures are added to the mix, the desperation level rises for our intrepid inventor.

The movie itself is good and Mary Astor is great in it – Enjoy!

New Knives for the Week of November 2nd, 2023 Just In at KnifeCenter.com

The Civivi Mini Praxis with the Ultem scales / handles sure catches my eye – if I hadn’t just spent my Christmas knife money . . .

Apparently “stuff” is moving off the shelves and into boxes and ultimately under Christmas trees at quite a pace – I urge you folks not to wait to get your shopping thing going – at least as far as sharpy pointy stuff goes . . .

Friday Music : Electric Light Orchestra — Live in USA, 1978

From the YouTube page –

Please note: The video featured here was likely projected onto the screen’s monitors for the audience behind the band to see. There are instances where this feed is black so the audience would instead focus on other spectacles, such as the laser light shows. This blank screen occurs at the beginning and during some performances, such as the first half of Mik’s Violin Solo and some of Mr. Blue Sky.

This 4:3 version. shows the whole image. for “obvious” reasons we put the legends and logo because it was better than what was originally there. I think those who will understand. We have been after these jewels for years. we did not put them to disturb the vision. If one day I find another cleaner I will share it. But If it takes me another 44 years, congratulate me, but because I reached 105 years old

The Acetaters and elodevi would like to take you back to July 15th 1978. Electric Light Orchestra had just released their most ambitious album yet, Out of the Blue. It is the pinnacle of their artistic creativity and symphonic rock sound. Tonight’s concert will bring a spaceship spectacle to an estimated 80,000 people at Cleveland’s Municipal Stadium. For the first time in 44 years, we present ELO at their pinnacle.

ELO are: Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, Richard Tandy, Kelly Groucutt, Mik Kaminski, Hugh McDowell, Melvyn Gale. Welcome to The Big Night.

All I can add is enjoy the show!
