One of the fun parts of knives – SMKW.COM make several knives in the TV “cowboy” genre – the hardest part with these are catching them in stock as apparently they sell out quickly – I understand – they are way cool . . .

This particular one is the Roy Rogers version ( RR1839 – click and grab one – they are in stock as I’m posting this! ) and it is a nice little knife.

Comes in the fancy magnetic catch “presentation” box . . .

One side has the box art on it . . .

The box art side has the plain polished blades . . .

The Roy Rogers side has frosted finish blades w/ Roy and the silver screen logo . . .

What started me looking at these was a Christmas or three back I bought one of these for the chicken ranchers young son – I was impressed with it and bought me one . . .

A really nice gift for a boy’s ( or girl’s ) first knife . . .

And it even comes with a comic book style safety hand book . . .

It’s time to get your Halloween knives and stuff ordered before it all goes out of stock – I just ordered two of these for Halloween gifts . . .

Now is the time to start your Christmas purchases – before it all starts going out of stock – and before all y’all start – that’s what I buy folks, pointy sharp stuff – it’s something they put in their pocket or purse and use almost every day – knives beat the Hell out of the combination deep fat fryer / latte maker / can opener and dog toe nail trimmer!

I still think the Leatherneck Bowie is over the top compared to a KABAR . . .

When I look at the Rough Ryder I will show it along side of both the Cold Steel and the KABAR – If you like big knives – this Rough Ryder (rr2272) Bowie might just work . . .
