Picked up this MTech dagger pattern knife on Amazon for 20 Bucks – Pakka Wood Scales and the pattern caught my eye. I realized when I bought it it was more “decorative” than functional – bur damn – I have butter knives that are sharper! After an hour or so with it – it is beginning to be sharp – a few more hours of working with it – it will be sharp – it won’t retain an edge very well – it’s straight stainless – but a dagger is not generally used in a “protracted” fashion – It will be sharp enough to stick with – and look good – and of course I make it look better – LOL!

Got two real nice Kissing Crane knives in from Kennesaw Cutlery – Check those folks out!! – I got the 2021 St Patty’s Day Commemorative . . .
Green dyed bone on the “back” side . . .

Really sweet engraving ( yes . . . I know it’s done on CNC machinery ) and red filled logo on the “front” side . . .

A look at the blade etching – most folks would consider it sharp – I may dress the edges a little but it’s not a “working” knife – it’s a commemorative . . .

And picked up a pearl stiletto – really good looking – they lay the pearl veneer on the frame then use clear acrylic scales over it – gives it a great “depth” effect . . .

And a Damascus blade – it was sharp out of the box – I dressed it a little with the V-Sharp and a few light strokes with a steel rod – Sharp?? – somewhere between “That’s Just Stupid” and “OMFG!!”

But Wait – There’s More!

Took the tow hooks off my new “old beater” to put a bull bar on to use for auxiliary lighting mount points – it came with an LED light strip – got a pair of Hella 700FF driving lights mounted and a pair of Hella 550 amber fog lights coming that will mount just above the Led strip . . .
It took over 10 hours of trying to stick arms into places that they wouldn’t fit to remove the tow hooks and mount the bar and I admit I did talk ugly to my truck several times – I honestly thought about having a friend come over and cuss at it in Japanese – but he was at work . . .
The tow hooks are installed on the frame and then the truck is actually built around them – only 4 bolts – piece of cake to remove them – Oh HELL NO!! – Never Again – I will spend money and pay someone to remove tow hooks if I have a stupid moment and ever get involved in something like this ever again – getting the wiring through the firewall and switches installed into factory “blank” locations – turning into total a total suck -it will be nice when it’s finished – don’t know how well it will photograph – but I will try to get some out in the middle of nowhere/middle of the night pics for y’all when it’s all done . . .
Some of you folks may remember this little darling from THIS POST – Well I took a few more pics and hacked out some more stuff about it for an upcoming article/review at SG2 for Nick Walker . . .
Have a glamour shot . . .
