A Pair of Kershaw Leeks from Smoky Mountain Knife Works

I have been wanting to pick up a “Leek” from Kershaw for a while now and finally grabbed two – the silver one was on a “Flash Sale” from Smoky Mountain Knife Works and the purple one looked like it would go well with my Blushing Bride’s High Polish CZ 75 – so I ordered them . . .

Good lookers – the pocket clips don’t get you in real deep – but do a nice job securing the knife . . .

They come with safeties – if that’s your thing – by all means use it . . .

“Leeks” are not a large knife by any stretch – 7 1/4 inches open – 4 1/4 inches closed . . .

No real texturing to speak of but the cut for your index finger allows for a decent grip . . .

Same model numbers except the PUR suffix – but the strangest thing . . .

The silver one is a frame lock and the purple one is a liner lock – go figure . . .

Really neat design by Ken Onion brought to you from Kershaw – fit / finish / color / the spring assist opening are all first rate – real smooth coming out of the pocket to deploy – and from Smoky Mountain Knife Works – you just can’t get much better . . .

Except possibly the color match with the grips on her CZ . . .

How in the world the colors matched that close I will never figure out . . . And she hasn’t found her “Leek” yet but she will get her CZ out before long to give it some love and affection and she will be surprised when she sees it . . .
