Rough Ryder Black and Blue Series : Hawkbill

The second one of the series I purchased – The Hawkbill – I know . . . it’s a pruning blade – but “Hawkbill” sounds so much cooler . . .

Same spiffy box . . .

And a good looker – Love those “Black and Blue” scales . . .

Damn Bruce – Wipe the finger smudges off of the blade, will you please? – If YOU insist / and since YOU said please – good positive half stop – good deep nail nick – although the natural impulse is the pinch the blade between your thumb and index finger to pull it open – thus more smudges . . .

Zero fit / finish issues . . .

Some minor differences in the rivets – again that’s more me than any actual issue . . .

Nickel silver bolster – brass liners – a real good size at 7 inches and change for a pruning knife – WAY to nice to use for that purpose – if I were to grab a pruning knife it would be this Opinel NO.10 Billhook . . .

Love the Rough Ryder Black and Blue series from Smoky Mountain – I will pick up the rest of the series over the next month or two – will use them as fillers on orders to get the totals above $75 bucks to qualify for free shipping – whatever works – right?

What’s in YOUR pocket??

Have Fun – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
