CRKT never fails to not impress with their green box – LOL . . .

Tiny little thing – that’s what she said (snark) . . .

It is a flipper – too small to get a “flip grip” – although I suppose with enough practice it could be done . . .

It features a 2.09 inch 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade with a frame lock . . .

Blade – frame – all of it is a black stone wash finish – real nice and consistent . . .

The front portion of the blade is sharpened as well – and decent right out of the box . . .

String cutter – loose thread cutter – tape cutter – box opener – sure you bet – at 3 oz it’s not gonna pull your pants down and the size factor – and not using the clip it’s not going to eat up a lot of pocket space . . .the Bottom line – everyday cutting tasks it will work for you – and it is a whole lot “cooler” than a trapper or traditional pen knife – looks wise I like it – but it just didn’t push any other buttons for me – the little knife is out there in the $20 to $25 dollar range – NOW if it was 10 or 12 inches overall and spring assist opening – please take my money . . .
The CRKT M16-01S
This CRKT covered the bases for me – real good looking with the silver blade showing through the holes in the frame . . .

Not a “large” knife by any stretch at just over 4 in closed . . .

Not quite 7 1/2 in open – reversible pocket clip – tip down only – almost a deep carry depth . . .

Good engagement on the frame lock – but no “cut” on the opposite side to push it out of the way – and that is the only ding by the way . . .

Good blade centering . . .

Just big enough for my hands to get a good grip on . . .

So . . . Bead blasted 8Cr14MoV stainless steel spear point blade – sharp enough to work with right out of the box ( lovely green I might add – LOL! ) – not really finger grooves that try to force your fingers where they don’t want to go / helps you get a good grip on it – the flipper tab works as a finger guard nicely – gimping on top for your thumb if you want to extend your thumb out – real nice fit and finish – comes in at about 2.6 oz . . .
The only ding – takes a little manipulation to disengage the blade lock – other than that – good little knife . . .
And the same as the as the little Razelcliffe above – don’t want to use the pocket clip?? – it won’t take up a lot of pocket space . . .
Available on Amazon as well as SMKW.COM ( click to go straight to it ) for about $37 bucks – and since it is that time of the year – it would make a nice Christmas gift for someone on YOUR list . . .
