Smith and Wesson didn’t just build a snubby – they built an icon . . .
One of the few homeless darlings I haven’t adopted yet is an actual Chief Special – Here’s a Model 637 – aluminum alloy frame version Chief Special and a Model 36-1 – which was a kind of an oddity – long story short the 36-1 was a square butt 3 inch barrel Chief Special – but it wasn’t – it was a stand alone model – the 36-1 was originally built for the Tokyo Police Dept – everybody at the factory thought they were way cool so Smith and Wesson released them for general sales – then NYPD bought several truck loads – police women could carry it instead of the Model 10 – as well as it was an option for detectives – steel frame and three inch barrel really soaks up recoil and it “points” real nice . . .

Snubbys?? Hell yes – this is what I walk out of the bedroom with – the 125 grain semi-jacketed hollow points in the speed loaders?? It is just not feasible to load wad cutters in a hurry . . .

And if you haven’t tried Ergo Grips yet? Why not? Can’t find them? CLICK ON THIS and go straight to Brownells and try a pair – and as Tony the Tiger says – “They’re GREAT!!” . . .
And if I go just about anywhere? A 1911 and two spare mags come along for the ride . . .
Not even going into the sharpy pointy things that seem to follow along . . .
Next time you see some old fart shuffling along with his hands in his hoodie pockets? Is he keeping his hands warm or holding two S&W 642’s?? You decide . . .
Go over to Sootch00’s tube site and give him some love – he always puts out good stuff!
