Friday Music : No Surprise – 1962!

Sorta obvious after the TV post on Wednesday – and we are kicking it off with a TV theme song . . .

And a movie theme . . .

And Away We Go!

And if at any point during this Friday’s Music post YOU “feel the need” to get up and TWIST? You just tell your wet blanket boss YOU have MY permission!!

Just can’t do Little Eva and not do this . . .

And I certainly can’t do ANY GFRR and not do this one . . .

Now where the Hell were we?? – That’s right – 1962 . . .

To this day – Gene Chandler and the song “Duke of Earl”is one of the most recognized performers/performances of this time period – and still doing it today – click anywhere on this to go to WIKI and read up on him – well worth the trip . . .

The Orlons – Another GREAT 60’s group that are still doing it – click through to check out their WIKI page – and enjoy the read!

I could go on and on with this – but I’m closing it out with a “twist” song ( and 2 covers of it ) from the late, and great Sam Cooke . . .

Quite dissimilar styles – but Rod Stewart did good with it 10 years later . . .

And almost 60 years after the original by Sam Cooke – “Live from The Colosseum at Ceasers” – Sam Cooke’s “Twisting The Night Away” is still going strong!

Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
