RTL-SDR on MY Phone?!?
Yes – on your phone – in your pocket – way cool stuff . . .
Android installs are a lot simpler than pc installs – I actually would like to put a post together for you folks showing the process – the hardest part is getting screenshot pics with the phone while I’m installing the software on that phone – and making an understandable dialog to go with it – kinda like don’t listen to what I say – listen to what I mean sorta thing – LMAO!
Check out SDR-RTL.COM – that will really get you started – explore the site – the one thing I hope you take away from it – other than the fact that sdr dongles are way cool, cheap, and easy fun?

There is quite a problem with imitation or counterfeit dongles. There is a world of difference – performance wise – between real and fake – if you are going to purchase through amazonia go here to the RTL-SDR’s “store” website and click through the links on their page so you know what you are buying is real . . .
If – and it is a big if – I can get with Greg to put together a step by step tutorial that I can post here – saves you from going back and forth through a YouTube video – it a complete hoot – you can listen to am / fm / longwave / medium wave / shortwave / usb / lsb – essentially you have an incredibly high performance shortwave receiver in your pocket!
The post may not happen soon – Greg’s schedule is beyond busy – and mine is just about to go off the rails for the next 75 to 90 days – so . . . – we’ll just have to see what happens on that . . .
