The Monster is Alive!

The Frankengun is alive – Palmetto State Armory slide – SCT Frame – Brownells frame parts kit – but it just wouldn’t run – didn’t have a Glock 19 magazine and neither did the range – they did have a WELL used Glock 17 mag – it just did not do well . . .

Picked up 2 ETS Glock 19 compatible mags from Gun Mag Warehouse – and they ran great – not a hiccup through 90 rounds . . .

“IF” I can find my sight paint – I put it where I would be sure not to lose it – and . . . I forgot where I put it . . .

Real life genuine point and shoot – just can’t see black on black sights anymore . . .

Seen Alex at the range – awhile back he was brave or crazy / fine line there – enough to shoot my Taurus 605 with REAL .357 magnum rounds in it – he went and bought one – yes I am an enabler – and NO – I am not upset about that – let me repeat my standard answer again in case any of you folks missed it – “Bruce – I can’t decide which gun to buy – which one do you think?” Buy them both – they both need and are deserving of a good home . . .

Finally resolved the issue of the continuing failure of the software for my AIRSPY SDR on the puter I use for my other SDR – finally found out the two programs can’t exist on the same puter – since each one sets up the .dll library a different way – best way I know how to describe it / LOL! – so I grabbed this off the Amazonia renewl store – $158 bucks – it still had the peel off protect stuff in the power button – 22″ Dell HiDef monitor that I cannot find a mark on – new dell keyboard and mouse . . .

Now I just have to unpack the .dll library on the install software – take a deep breath and do the click and play pray thing . . .

If you need another puter – check out sjcomputersmn.com – this link will redirect you to their site – TONS of GOOD deals . . .

Not saying I order a lot of stuff – but BladeHq stuck this in the Boker XXL I ordered – LMAO!

Bunch of stuff I’m trying to get to today – probably won’t get it all done – and I’m good with that – most important is taking care of my baby boy . . .

Your Curtis Pic for the Weekend

It’s a little grainy – I was quite a distance from him – he didn’t realize I was taking his pic – swear to God if he sees you taking a pic – the little doggo actually “poses” for it – this little one is smart enough I don’t think either of us stand a chance – LOL!

Have a great weekend . . .

Friday Music

( well oops – that schedule for a drop early this morning didn’t work – so it’s a little later than normal . . . )

Gonna start with the number 24 on the top 100 hits . . .

A bonus video about Low Rider for you folks . . .

And a “Play It LOUD and PROUD” bonus – The album by WAR – start YOUR Friday right . . .

And just to get back on track for 1975 – the number 1 for the year . . .

This is gonna be a goodie – so many different types of music – even the dreaded disco ( LOL! ) had firmly entrenched itself in the music scene . . .

This next one?? One of my favorite “remix” songs . . .

Another 74 release 75 chart song . . .

This next one was released in 1974 – it managed to chart #72 in 1975 . . .

And the video of Jeff Lynne without sunglasses . . .

I just can’t play “America” without this one . . .

Now where was I?? – that’s right – Paul and Linda McCartney!!

You say “juke box” to kids nowadays and they are like – Huh??

Like all of these “yearly” Friday music posts – this could go on forever – I use Billboard Year End Hot 100 and still have to pick and choose – I simply can’t post 100 songs ( I could but I’m not – OK? ) – and a given year post could get totally out of hand because for any given year there are many many great songs released that don’t make the cut for “The 100”

Going to end it this week with #49 – released in 1974 – what folks back in the day referred to as baby making music – the king of that particular genre – Mr. Barry White . . .

Keeping it Simple – Food Prep for Curtis

Folks – one neat trick is to use the right size dish – Curtis is a little guy so we use a little feeding dish – little puppy / little amount of food – you have to think like a doggo – if you put the correct amount of food in a large dish, as far as the doggo is concerned he or she ain’t getting no food – certainly not enough anyway – there’s hardly anything in my bowl! – below is a picture of one of the dishes – we have four of them – more on that in a second – as you can see it isn’t very large – but Curtis – or your little guy or gal – thinks he’s getting a BIG bowl of food.

We wash the dishes every day – he eats out of a clean dish every time – Would YOU want to eat off the same unwashed plate every meal?? I didn’t think so . . .

The bottom of it is the size of a soda cracker – and he gets 1 or 2 crackers a week as a special treat! Curtis will lick it up to get to it – then it’s crunch-n-munch time! He will roll around eating it – crumbs flying everywhere – then he will spend the next ten minutes snuffling up every single tiny crumb – LOL watching him . . .

daddy – this is a post about me – i got important stuff to share with everybody! – Curtis, I’m going to show the folks the steamer and rice cookers – that can wait daddy – this is real important!! — Whatever . . .

thank you daddy – the mail lady came around to the backyard and brought ME a package!! after i gave her a zillion or so kisses i opened the package – and there was 3 squeaky balls in it! – life is good!! – i gave the mail lady about half a zillion bye-bye kisses – then it was game on!

OK daddy – the important stuff got told – go ahead on with your pots and pans stuff . . .

Alrighty then – just go to Amazon and look for Aroma brand rice cookers – the small rice cooker on the right makes plenty of rice for my Blushing Bride and myself for a meal with enough left over to keep Curtis in rice for a week . . .

The bigger cooker has a steamer rack which will hold a chicken thigh and it takes about 20 minutes to steam it – steams veggies easey – peasey and you don’t have to worry about it boiling dry – How you ask? – click to watch the physics of it explained on YouTube – they are great rice cookers / steamers . . .

I paid like $45 for the pair – have one the same style but quite a bit larger if a lot of rice is needed for a recipe or more than 2 – 3 people . . .

It doesn’t take much effort on your part and it keeps your little furry friend interested and gives them a good nutritional diet . . .

Breakfast with Curtis . . .

daddy gave me kibble and scrambled legs for breakfast AND a strawberryberry with gertie – i just love 2 course meals – life is good!!

a few notes from dad – i really wanted to tell you about the dream i had last night about the golden retriever i met on a walk – and i’m telling you – she might be an older girl – but she was hot and her mommy gave me a belly rub but daddy wouldn’t keyboard about the dream i had . . .

Thoughts on what and how much to feed YOUR little guy or gal . . .

Always check with your vet !!!!

Curtis gets just over 1/8 cup of Nutri-Source dry puppy food at about 6am – 10am – 2pm – 6pm – plus or minus every 4 hours – remember thier little tummys are little – far better to give them 4 smaller meals a day than 3 or 2 larger meals . . .

Always check with your vet !!!!

Fruits and veggies are great – the internet is your friend as far as determining what your puppy or doggo can and cannot have – again – any questions or conflicting information – check with your vet!!!

Eggs – scrambled – cooked with the tiniest bit of butter for flavor/smell and a dab of olive oil – use only as much as needed to keep the eggs from sticking in the pan – store in the fridge in an airtight container – then just take about a tablespoon or so of eggs and push them them through a fork with your thumb into the bowl – add kibble and it’s just that simple . . .

Steamed chicken – a great add on – about a tablespoon chopped into tiny pieces . . .

Hamburger and rice – it makes no difference 73% – 80% – simply fry until cooked – not browned but just cooked – then thoroughly rinse under hot water – you’re removing the grease – crumble and put into an airtight container in the fridge – when he gets hamburger – about a tablespoon – he also gets about a teaspoon of steamed rice with it . . .

Always check with your vet !!!!

Now fruits and veggies?

As a stand alone dessert/snack Curtis gets strawberry’s – cantaloupe – apple ( peeled ) – watermelon – all chopped up in kibble sized pieces – try to think in tablespoon serving sizes! – generally with a little bit ( about 1/2 teaspoon ) of non-fat Greek yogurt mixed in – a little bit goes a long way – we are talking a dessert or snack – not a meal . . .

Broccoli – steamed just enough to sorta call it cooked – green beans – again steamed just enough to tell you made an attempt at cooking them – if you do canned green beans use no salt added and rinse multiple times to reduce the sodium levels – carrots – raw or steamed or canned – again rinse any canned veggies multiple times . . .

Always check with your vet !!!!

Doggo’s have an incredible sense of smell – sense of taste? – not so much – so it’s about smell and texture more than taste . . .

Any of the fruits and veggies – eggs – hamburger – if served in the kibble or as a stand alone – should be chopped up to a size no larger than the kibble . . .

Always check with your vet !!!!

Bottom line? A variety of different fruits and veggies are good for your dog – the different smells and textures keep them interested and it’s actually good for them!

Always follow the advice of your vet!!

Curtis – is there anything you would like to add?

Apparently I am going to close this out for him . . .

Bye Bye everybody and send food!!

My week is good – How is yours? / Curtis checking in . . .

daddy took me outside after breakfast – but it was chilly . . .

come on dad – it’s cold out here – i done did my business – it’s cold! finally daddy got the hint and asked if i wanted to go inside – i mean daddy is neat and give great belly rubs – but there are times . . .

let’s go inside daddy!!

and mommy – every night she comes home and messes all my stuff up – then i have to take time out of naps and play to get everything right again!

and would daddy help? he keeps saying something about mommy only gonna whip one butt and that one ain’t gonna be his . . .

well – i got my bed close to where it should be – i’ll finish arranging stuff later – i gotta help daddy with important stuff . . .

daddy took all the stuff off this shelf where i was getting my crossword puzzle books and domino’s from and put one of my blankets on it for me!

the sunlight is a trap!!!!

after several naps and some kibble we went on a walk – i got tired of the leash tangling up so i chomped it with the jaws of death – no more leash – easy enough – i didn’t know daddy could run faster than me! – does anybody know what log chain and crock pot puppy stew is??

back from the walk – it was short – i guess daddy was tired from running with me – we played in my yard – and the sunshine was wonderful!

eat your hearts out girls . . .

and my work is never done – this is what rearranging i have got done so far – and then mommy will come home and mess it all up again!

you know – life is pretty tough sometimes – but with enough kibble – naps – and fresh fruit and veggies i think i might make it through the week!

bye bye everybody and send food!
