Finally retired my Spyderco and replaced it with . . .
( and yes I will get a post up about the Spydreco Alcyone – not one negative thing to say about it! )

Imported from Maniago, Italy – THE place for Italian made knives -this electrician’s lockback is a little different take on what most folks consider an electrician’s knife . . .
Here it is shown with a “Klein and Son’s” electrician’s knife – the “Klein” or similar pattern being what just about everybody thinks of when you say electrician’s knife . . .

A world of difference between the two – the “Mac” is so much more refined . . .

Let’s realize we are talking about what you would consider almost a “scut” knife – chop boxes up – strip wire – open packages – your every day pocket beasty . . .

But there is no reason we can’t look damn good while all that is going on . . .

So what about “it”? Well – the ergos are great – the fit/finish is top notch – the polish on the blades? – flawless – weighs in at 4.8 oz vs the Klein @ 3.7 oz – it has a keyring attachment as well as a lanyard hole – the FRN ( fiberglass reinforced nylon ) scales have an almost fine grit for texturing – we shall see how that works – and at $18.99?? Should have gotten two of them . . .
Folks – I don’t know what to tell you about this – other than I’m going to stuff it in my pocket and use the Hell out of it for about six months and see where we are at then . . .
To see the entire Mac Coltellerie line that Smoky Mountain carries <<<CLICK HERE>>> – other than reading some reviews of different knives of theirs – I don’t know a lot so I just figured the best way was just to jump in and buy one . . .
And if you just have to have that traditional Klein? – <<<CLICK HERE>>> – this will get you started . . .
These two old Klein’s of mine have seen more than their share of hard use over the years and they never failed to perform

Got more “stuff” to post and have more “stuff” coming from SMKW – and seriously folks – you need go check out their “Middle of May / Drop a Day Sale” for some really special sales on some special items . . .
( Yes I know – I have taken the first step and have finally admitted I have a problem – Not Enough Room! – LMAO! )
What’s in YOUR pocket?

Totally random – completely eclectic mix – Enjoy!!
It gets pretty obscure after the break – and to be honest – it’s somewhat obscure before the quick little break . . .
Found a video of Jeff Lynne performing WITHOUT sunglasses – You’re Welcome . . .
And since we are talking about sunglasses . . .
Before the “Silver Bullet” it was Bob Segar and The Last Heard . . .
Have another one of these . . .
Well I’ve got my 25 piece patio set out ( a plastic chair and a case of beer ) and I’m headed to the backyard – some folks is coming over – and the neighbors can’t bitch ’cause I invited them all over – almost reminds me of a yard party in Florida . . .
Just because I’m “Paranoid” does not mean they are not after me . . .
Then “Small Faces” looked for a new lead vocalist – and the rest is history . . .
And a QUICK break for you folks – Don’t Blink! – You will miss it . . .
Quick enough for you?? – Now THAT’S High Speed / Low Drag!
Most of you folks won’t recognize this next one . . .
But you should know this one . . .
A lesson here for you – a wafer lock keeps honest people out . . .
And here’s another one that hit and then just drifted into obscurity . . .
And this had a virtual cult following in north central Florida – and just drifted away . . .
Gotta stop somewhere . . .
Have a pair from Chris Norman – first with Pelageya . . .
And with Suzi Quatro – one the best male/female duets ever – in my biased opinion . . .
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
Some of these are a REAL HOOT!! – Enjoy!!
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!

Got my Smoky Mountain order and will get a post up on the “stuff” for you folks – but the overtime is taking it’s toll – the warmer weather does not help . . .

That’s at 10 o’clock at night – it’s quite warm in my little corner of the people’s tractor factory and the 4 twelve hour shifts every week ain’t helping. I’m going to get some beauty sleep ( the sun is shining so it must be bed time – right? ) and will get at least a couple of these knives posted for you folks . . .
What’s in YOUR pocket?
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
Cheap sometimes carries a negative connotation – inexpensive or good value would be a better description of these knives – IMHO . . .
Get over to Knife Center and check them out – they have some GOOD stuff at GOOD prices over there . . .
You just have to love the “on line” knife world – not only can you find the knife you want/need – but more than likely you can find it on sale!

This single does stack up against Del Shannon’s “Runaway” quite well – Enjoy!
From the site :
Released in 1978, It’s A Heartache was a global smash hitting number one in Australia, Canada, Finland, France, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Brazil and Argentina and number four in the UK, number three in the US and number 2 in Germany. Along the way it sold 6 million physical copies worldwide (including a million in France and the US and 1/2 a million in the UK).
The song has been covered many times by a diverse list of artists including Rod Stewart, David Johanson (of the New York Dolls,), Ronnie Spector of the Ronettes, Glaswegian Indiepopsters Arab Strap, rocker Gene Vincent and, most recently, pop superstar Miley Cyrus.
And now it’s stuck in YOUR head – Your Welcome!
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
Enjoy!

Came in a padded envelope – and the box is worse for the wear . . .

Let’s get it out of the box . . .

And YOU can just relax – and we all know who YOU are . . .

The Cold Steel Voyager XL is NOT a small knife by any stretch . . .

At a little over 12 inches open it definitely makes a statement . . .

For the size the weight at 7.9 oz isn’t too bad . . .

The Voyager XL hanging out with the Buck 110 Auto – what most folks consider a large pocket knife . . .

The Buck 110 with a 3.75 inch blade is no slouch but next to the voyager XL . . .

A good size knife – the Marbles Folding Bowie . . .

The Folding Bowie gets a seat at the table size wise – but even folded it still requires a belt worn sheath to carry – the Voyager tucks right in your pocket . . .

Marbles most excellent – I would even be tempted to say elegant – Safety Folding Knife deserves a place at the table – point in its favor is the fact it folds and will slip in your pocket . . .

But other than looks? – side by side – there isn’t anything the Marbles has on the Voyager – better reach – reinforced tanto tip – AUS10A steel – Cold Steel put quite a knife on the table with this Voyager . . .

One knife that holds its own with the Voyager is the KA-BAR combat knife . . .

Except . . . You just can’t fold the KA-BAR and slip it in your pocket . . .

The Cold Steel Voyager??
Unless you are going to abuse the crap out of it – the Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto will not let you down – completely over built – Tri-Ad locking mechanism – quite sharp right out of the box – the Griv-Ex scales reinforced with heat treated 6061 aluminum give you an incredible non-slip grip texture – the reinforced tanto point – AUS10A steel – What a package . . .
As with all of Cold Steel XL knives about the only thing you shouldn’t do? Don’t pull one out of your pocket to cut an apple up at the lunch table at work -trust me on this – just don’t!
Get your happy ass over to Smoky Mountain Knife Works and pick one up before they go out of stock ( again ) – after all you deserve one . . .
Can’t decide which Cold Steel to buy?? Really? You folks know I am an enabler – buy them both – or all 3 of them – YOU have MY permission – or do it like Short Stack does it – he buys knives 2 at a time – one for him and one for Mrs. Short Stack – see folks it’s simple . . .
I’ve got 4 coming from Smoky Mountain – 3 Rough Ryder’s and an electrician’s knife in an Italian brand – Mac Coltellerie – read several reviews on some of their knives – good stuff and great prices – we shall see . . .
What’s in YOUR pocket??
