There was a large one not far from me when I was growing up – close enough to ride the bike – spent more than one Saturday afternoon there – and it was nothing like this!
I’m not saying I have an obsession with stilettos or stiletto pattern knives – I think of it as more of as being in a complex relationship -LMAO!
Some “stiletto” and “stiletto pattern” knives . . .
If you are interested in the origins or history of the stiletto knife there is some good information at WIKI <<<CLICK HERE>>> – and also a decent amount of information at Visual Stories <<<CLICK HERE>>> – Visual Stories is kinda neat – different presentation than most other sites . . .
On to our main attraction . . .
The TI-LITE 6 inch from Cold Steel – if stepping over the line from pocket knife to edged weapon is where you want to go – The TI-LITE 6 inch will take you there . . .
With the S35VN blade and aluminum handles/scales it checks in at over 1/2 lb – but once more if you realize you are stepping away from pocket knife to a full up edged weapon 9.1 oz ain’t bad at all . . .
And it fits in your pocket – at about 13 1/2 inches deployed you might not think so – but it fits – not much else will fit in that pocket though . . .
S35VN is the bomb for knives – read about HERE or HERE or HERE – GOOD STUFF!
Cold Steel did not use their famous Triad lock – there simply wasn’t room – but you are not losing much as the liner lock is Hell for stout and has good engagement . . .
The pocket clip is inset into the scale so not just the screws are holding it in place – good engineering there . . .
The pocket clip is not an issue for creating a hot spot for your hand – low profile plus rounded edges takes care of any issues . . .
The thumb stud is difficult to open with at first – the detent is very stout out of the box – I put several drops of CLP into the mix the opened and closed the knife ( brought the blade out enough to disengage the detent ) SLIGHTLY OVER 1000 times – actually wore notches in my thumbnails doing it – but it pops open pretty good with the thumb stud now – and the quillion works pretty good as well – whichever method YOU choose – you need to Practice! ( Bruce – Why do you ALWAYS throw that ugly P word at us? ) Really?? You are going to take a knife/pistol/weapon and carry it and HOPE it “works” for you on it’s own – without any effort on YOUR part?? . . .
Have a video on deployment methodology . . .
And one of my favorite knife reviewers on the “TUBE” gives you his take on the TI-LITE 6 – Go Nick – Go Nick . . . ( when this was done – 2017 – AUS8 was the standard with this )
I Picked this “little” darling up at MIDWAYUSA.COM – the sale price at the time was $113.00 – It’s $142.00 it this point – still a good price point . . .
The bottom line? – if you want to step up from a pocket knife to an edged weapon – Cold Steel knives will float your boat – Pricey?? You get what you pay for – buy your ticket and ride the ride . . .
Pro Tip – carry a “normal” pocket knife to cut up an apple at the lunch table at work – do not deploy this to do that – Don’t Ask how I know this . . .
What’s in YOUR pocket??

Why 1972 my Blushing Bride asked? Why Not I said – so here we go . . .
All of these ( and more ) were on the Billboard Top 100 for 1972 – What a year for music – Enjoy!!
I told my Blushing Bride – My God Jackson Browne looks young in this next video – She said “Dumb Ass – he IS young in the video” – HELL I looked young in 1972 so she might be on to something here . . .
Every disc jockey’s favorite “I have to go to the bathroom like really bad” record to spin – and for you young folks out there disc jockeys actually played music off of vinyl – you knew you were in a “real” radio station when you saw 4 turn tables – Big Time Stuff right there . . .

I’ve posted this before but I’m making it for dinner so I figured why not?
Chop an onion up – spread it out in the crock pot – just enough beef broth to cover the onions . . .
Chuck Roast – 1 1/2 lbs or so – depending on how large of a second mortgage you can get on your house . . .
You need this stuff – drain the pepperoncini . . .
Lay the roast on top of the onions and beef broth and snuggle the pepperoncini all around the roast . . .
Sprinkle 3 Tablespoons each of the brown gravy mix and ranch dressing mix over the top of the roast – then slice up a stick of butter and put the pieces on top of the roast . . .
Lid on the crock pot? – check
Plug crock pot in? – check
Turn crock pot on low? – check ( this is a VERY important step!! – don’t ask how I know )
Wait 5 to 6 hours? – check
Eat yourself into oblivion? – check
YOU wanted an “on the plate pic” – Here you go . . .
Goes real well on a bed of rice or buttered noodles or mashed potatoes – very easy and VERY good crock pot dinner – Enjoy!
