Gold is gold – Silver is silver – it’s intrinsic value does not change – what fluctuates is how worthless your fiat currency is from one moment to the next – the only three things out there that have worth in an “economy” are manufactured industrial / durable goods – food – energy . That’s it folks – everything else is smoke and mirrors and bullshit. The price of gas has gone up 60 cents a gallon in the past three weeks – what do you think? $6 bucks a gallon by July 4th?? – $7 ?

CZ 2075 D RAMI

Awhile back I teased you folks with this pic . . .

There is nothing quite like opening the box and taking in a big whiff of new gun smell – except maybe new car smell . . .

I picked up a 2075 RAMI awhile back < CLICK HERE FOR THAT POST > and put up a post on it – so I’m not going to go real deep on this post except for the BIG difference – this particular RAMI is the D model – which means it is the de-cocker – not a manual safety. I was good with that since I didn’t use the safety – just kept the hammer on the “half cock” notch – which is where the de-cocker drops the hammer to as you see below – life was good then my blushing bride shot it . . . and then if I wanted to carry it I was “borrowing” her RAMI – [ you guys out there that are married can identify with this – What’s hers is hers and what’s mine is hers ] – LMAO . . . the other difference is the D comes with factory tritium night sights – good stuff . . .

I put a set of G10 dark blue sun burst pattern grips on the little darling – not to knock the factory grips – they are good – but these look a lot better and given the fact that I make it look even better – well there you go . . . .

Well, yes as a matter of fact it does shoot . . .

Loaded both mags – 7 yards – as fast as it would run . . .

Wash – Rinse – Repeat . . .

I was in “running like a crazy person” mode and that’s all I had time for – Yes it shoots – it shoots damn good – the RAMI shoots and feels like a much bigger gun . . .

“Well should I buy one??” – now we come to the real bitch of the matter – CZ has stopped producing the RAMI – whatever is in the supply pipeline is it – apparently they are going to replace it with one of their striker fired polymer framed pistols – or – one of their polymer framed hammer fired pistols -or who knows? . . .

If you run across one – and have ever wanted one – GRAB IT !! You will not be disappointed – they shoot and run great – conceal relatively easy – think Glock 26 if that helps you “size” it – to me they point better than a Glock – and I just can’t warm up to a “downsized” 1911 – shit starts getting strange when you go down that rabbit hole – the 1911 platform was designed around a full sized pistol pushing 230 grain hardball – the further away you get in any direction in a 1911 platform from that – the more reliability suffers.

But in the case of the RAMI it was designed around the 9mm and a small size from the ground up and it shows – it just flat out runs. CZ offered the RAMI in a polymer frame and 40 S&W for a limited time – they did not have much success with it and even had some frame failure issues with them ( cracking/oops ) so they went away . . .

When I get a chance to get some more range time with it I will post it – but for now snow blowing / shoveling time is eating into everything – posting – range time – regular sleep – beauty sleep – even screwing up nap time! – I am NOT a fan of this winter . . .
