The section of the clip that starts at about the 2 minute mark is from SinkEx89 – note the water “jumping” from the muzzle blast when turret one fires – the last one firing in the video – Iowa class battleships could put nine 16 inch shells – each weighing 2000 plus pounds in a ninety foot circle at 20 plus miles – EVERY. THIRTY. SECONDS.
The only problem with battleships? – They were designed for one purpose and one purpose only – to fight other battleships – they did well with shore bombardment as long as what you were targeting was close enough to the coast – but essentially they were a single purpose weapon system . . .
