St. Croix Tactical Solutions aka SCT G19 Frame

SCT Manufacturing is making a lot of stuff – amongst all the “stuff” they make are Glock 19 compatible frames – Which is what we are going to look at in this post . . .

This one came from Brownells for $49.99 plus shipping – The locking block – frame rails – and all the holes came with it – which makes it a firearm – which requires a 4473 form and background check through an FFL to purchase. I populated the frame with a Brownells lower parts kit for $39.99 – and don’t forget shipping!

The frame kit is a straight up generic parts kit – to say the trigger pull was a little – how should I put this?? – kludgey? – how about gritty with a definite wall? – After 100 rounds and 500 dry fires and another 100 rounds it is a LOT better. When I get a total of 500 rounds through it I will get the trigger gauge out and see where it’s at. For now I’m going to let all the pieces wear the way they want to then more than likely pull it all apart and do the 25 cent trigger job on it.

Feels as good as it looks – And at only 4.9oz on my scale with parts kit installed – it does a good job of handling perceived recoil . . .

The only change is going to be stair tread tape on both sides above the grip stippling – and the stippling comes across as aggressive but it sure works good . . .

Mil-spec 1913 pic rail – light / laser / bayonet / rocket launcher – if it fits a Mil-spec rail – your good!

I you didn’t know better you would think you were looking at a gen 1-3 Glock 19 . . .

What you see is what SCT is calling the “ladder traction” treatment on the front and back of the grip – looks way different – but it works good!

Stippling on the front and bottom of the trigger guard . . .

Which is plenty large enough for a gloved finger to go through without firing the gun – Hello – Austria?? – Can you hear me??

Overall a good feeling and shooting pistol paired with the PSA Dagger slide . . .

And this video from RTT : Guns & Gear gives you a comparison between the SCT19 and the Polymer 80 – Polymer 80 being a DIY frame . . .

But wait – there’s more!

These two Dagger frames got to the range as I was about ready to publish this post . . .

PSA had this deal for frames in black – and I asked Curtis should I? And Curtis told me – “Daddy -you take such good care of me – you deserve it!” Who was I to question THAT reasoning?? So Curtis and I went to the range to pick them up – he got belly rubs from everyone and I got my frames . . .

Went to the range Saturday morning and went ahead and took a deep breath and dropped a Holosun HE508T-GR on the slide – same optic I put on the AREX Delta M – the range had one in the store – what the Hell – it’s only money . . .

So after multiple targets and several hundred rounds of 9mm got the optics on the Dagger slide and the Arex dialed in PFC – Pretty Fucking Close . . .

And yes – I forgot my sharpie – so these are all screwed up – by the time I got home and got to looking through pics I was clueless which was which – OOPS!

It actually took awhile – once you get close – you start just “moving” the adjustment screws – and yes – I will probably burn another 100 – 200 rounds getting it just “there” – and it’s as good as an excuse as any other to go to the range!

The pistol optics are NOT some magic bean – under normal lighting and/or normal hand gun ranges – there is no distinct advantage – When lighting is less than optimal and/or you are dealing with extended ranges – optics will make a difference.

Is the SCT frame a good deal? You bet! – Are the PSA Dagger frames a good deal? Absolutely!

Fortunately I am not having my feet held over a fire and having to pick one over the other as I feel that ANY of these are fine choices and the minor – emphasis on MINOR – differences between them are totally subjective.

Now if you folks will excuse me – I have a real pistol in a real caliber to clean – LMAO!

“The Flying Saucer” – 1950

From the website:

“A 1950 independently made American black-and-white science fiction spy film drama. It was written by Howard Irving Young, from an original story by Mikel Conrad, who also produced, directed, and stars with Pat Garrison and Hantz von Teuffen. The film was first distributed in the U.S. by Film Classics and later re-released in 1953 by Realart Pictures, on a double-bill with Atomic Monster (the retitled-reissue of Man Made Monster, originally released in 1941 by Universal Pictures). The Flying Saucer is the first feature film to deal with the (then) new and hot topic of flying saucers. Flying saucers, or alien craft shaped like flying disks or saucers, were first identified and given the popular name on June 24, 1947, when private pilot Kenneth Arnold reported nine silvery, crescent-shaped objects flying in tight formation. A newspaper reporter coined the snappy tagline, “flying saucers”, which captured the public’s imagination. The film has no relationship and should not be confused with the later Ray Harryhausen science fiction film Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, released by Columbia Pictures.”

Talk about star power – the biggest name that I recognized – Denver Pyle – I don’t recognize any others – The film itself? I have slept through better, but it’s an interesting take on “flying saucers” – Enjoy ?!?!

Brace yourselves – here it comes . . .

No Shit Sherlock . . .

The fact that Democrats and rinos want to stop the January 6th footage shows their guilt – if they have nothing to hide – put all of it on a server and let the entire planet see it all – or what are you anti-American commie fucks trying to hide??

If YOU don’t think it was not expertly choreographed entrapment – send me some of the drugs YOU are on . . .

Pay attention at about the 4 minute mark . . .
