The Holosun brand was highly praised and recommended by the guys at the range – I’m like sure, why not??
Here’s all five of the red dot videos from Colion Noir – they will pretty much give you a good idea of red dots on a pistol . . .
After a 100 or so rounds to get to a zero point – it’s counter intuitive – I can see an advantage to this style of sights – now I will have to do some re-wiring in my head to get all the pieces in a – right place / right time /right order – thing going on.
If I get a chance – I will post on getting to a zero point – there are several videos on doing that on the tube – you have to move the impact of the shot to the dot – the dot never moves – that is as simple as I can make it . . .
A thousand rounds or so will probably go quite a long ways towards getting “it” to feel natural – a whole lot of iron sights water has gone under the bridge . . .
Old dog / New tricks thing going on . . .
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
Nice bit of research done here – and he keeps it interesting throughout the video. When you think of sidearms you think Army / Marines and to a lesser extent the Navy – but the Air Force had quite a bit of variety in sidearms through the years. What I found interesting was just how long the S&W Model 15 continued to serve the Air Force – Enjoy!

I have trended away from politics for the most part – I figure you get enough of that elsewhere – but – I do have a little humor for you along with this post – but first a little Frank Zappa – Enjoy!
I promised a little humor for you – little? – This is simply one of the best jokes I have ever heard in my life – Ready?
What’s the difference between a politician and a pedophile?
To Mr. Wood Chipper there is no difference . . .
That’s funny shit right there – don’t care who you are . . .

I went through 75 rounds (or more) of ammo settling on the 3rd largest back strap panel for the Arex Gen 1 Delta – The Gen 2 only came with the largest back strap panel – and I really did not care for it – got the FDE frame kit today – grabbed my roll punches and my hammer and 3 minutes later I had the panel switched out . . .
Here’s what I started with – the FDE frame not only looked strange color wise – but felt pretty strange shooting it for function testing . . .
The black #3 panel is the one on the Gen 1 pistol – so I swapped out the large grip panel for the #3 on the FDE frame . . .
And now they both have the same grip panels and both feel “right” to me – can’t hardly wait to get to the range and run them side by side to see which one actually “feels” better when shooting, and yes, I know that is for the most part a subjective thing . . .
But grip angle / thickness / length from back of grip to trigger and other things can and does make a difference in how a given pistol “fits” you – or me – and how that impacts your ability to shoot it . . .
Major Tease Alert!
The next Sig P232 vs installment is going to give you a look at two real sweet little pistols – a pair of CZ 2075’s . . .

Found this for you folks for something really different for Friday – This is GREAT stuff – kick back and Enjoy!
Have Fun! – Run the Gun! – and remember – Fish Heads are Cheap!!
And if you ever wonder where I come across “stuff” – music and news – music? – check out Radio Cancao Nova – located in Cachoeira Paulista SP in Brazil – at at 6105 on the 49 meter band – some really good music most nights – and if the conditions are good they come in solid in the mid-west here in the U.S.A. . . .
I run the eton ELITE 750 or the Realistic DX-160 to go find stuff – they lend themselves a lot better to search with and for general listening but I run the Grundig SATELLIT 800 if I get some good music – the 800 has a pretty good speaker in it – Have Fun out there folks . . .
All wrapped up in bubble wrap and packing – from Global Ordnance – the FDE frame kit – YAY!
Here is why I ordered it – to get the complete back strap set – now I can match the back strap on the Gen 1 – then take both to the range and wring them out side by side . . .
Bruce – How come all this stuff always leads to another trip to the range?? Amazing how that works – Isn’t it??

Got the Ruger Blackhack out to the range for shits and grins – It was GOOD and a life lesson at the same time . . .
The two on the right were shot with Fiocchi 158 grain 357 Jacketed Hollow Points – rated at 1220 fps – what passes nowadays for 357 mag ammo – real smooth out of 2 lbs of Ruger – The ones on the left? PPU 158 grain 357 Jacketed Hollow Points – rated at 1608 fps – Still manageable but quite a bit more recoil – I would go so far as to say “vigorous” – and it was a great time right up to where reality kicked in and presented a life lesson at no extra charge . . .
Warning : Old Fart Life Lesson Incoming!!
I am going to have to get out the sight paint and add a bit of bright color color to the front sight – black rear sight / black front sight / black aiming point – couldn’t see a fucking thing! – my old Mark One eyeballs ain’t what they used to was – Shit AND old age happens – and the old age part happens only if you live long enough – LOL!
These were at 10 yards – thought about doing some 25 yard stuff – maybe after the sight paint . . .
And having the 9mm cylinder along for the ride I shot a few out of it as well – like shooting a 22 rimfire – a real hoot . . .
Fresh out of the “bath”
All rubbed down with CLP – a little story read – and tucked into bed – it’s a tough life . . .
Each one fits a variety of firearms and they have about a zillion different models – and they work – they hold the pistol securely – and cover the trigger – and they are inexpensive . . .
Springfield XDS 9mm . . .
CZ 2075 D Rami . . .
I wonder if either of those sub compact 9mm pistols are going to show up in a Sig P232 vs post in the next week or so?? Hmmmm . . .Bruce – you are teasing again! – And your point? – LMAO!
Folks – all I can tell you is trot your collective happy asses to the range – practice – have a little fun – take a class – almost every range offers classes to improve your skill set – but if nothing else go and have some fun – it truly pisses some ( using the term loosely ) people off if they see YOU enjoying yourself . . .
Support your local range . . .

I knew there was a review out there for this little darling – I just had to remember where I saw it. If you get a chance go over to Sootch00 – videos for days . . .
I’m not sure what he is talking about the extended mag being 17 round – both of mine are 15 round mags . . .
They are the same mags – just different base plates – from the time I bought my Gen1 up to today – I never tried to load more than 15 rounds in the magazines – after all they do say 15 rounds . . .
So . . . I went to Global Ordnance’s website and did some explorating – and the website claims that the extended base plate is a plus 2 extension – Shazamm – it is!
I had to use my Uplula Loader to get numbers 16 and 17 in the mag – but it works – the thumb thing – maybe after the spring breaks in a little bit – but for now I am using the Uplula Loader to load them – never even tried for 17 rounds – the mags are marked 15 rounds – LMAO!
And I got the email from Global Ordnance that my FDE frame kit is on the way as soon as USPS picks it up – OH BOY! Now I will be able to run both set up the same side by side – yeah I know – any excuse to go to the range! . . .
