My Normal E.D.C.

Several of you folks ( actually more than that ) have asked about my Every Day Carry . . .

Right up front – I know the pic is not great – there is more than a considerable learning curve to the real camera – I said I was going use it as much as I could and try to migrate away from the cellphone – so here we go . . .

In no particular order . . . A little streamlight – it’s like stupid hundred lumen – eats cr-123a batteries like they are free / Sig TACOPS 1911 8+1 / S&W 642 w/Ergo Grips / Rock Island 1911 8+1 / 2 Speedloaders for the 642 / Triple O knife / Gerber folding knife / 2 – 8 round mags for the 1911’s / cellphone ( which I really don’t carry much anymore ) / Magpul Tejas belt / sheath for the light / Lefty Black Hawk for the Sig / Uncle Mike’s double mag pouch / Righty J&J for the Rock / Uncle Mike’s double Speedloader pouch / sheath for the Triple O knife / and I think it is a DeSantis pocket holster for the 642 . . .

When I stagger out of the bedroom this is the LEAST I have on me . . .

I have been known to add a Miami Classic Shoulder Rig with a third 1911 + 2 more mags + 1 or 2 more snubbies and additional speed strips ( 4 or more ) for them as well . . .

45 food consists of 230 grain hardball – the snubbies are loaded with 148 grain standard pressure wadcutters and the reloads are 125 grain +p semi jacketed hollow points . . .

And in an un-tucked shirt – no one sees any of it . . .

If you ever hear about somebody falling into a flush toilet and drowning – Yep, probably me . . .

Let me offer some free advice – if you pull into a parking lot – walk into a store – whatever – and something does not look right or feel right – don’t sit there like a dumb ass non-moving target trying to figure out who or what – just calmly get the fuck out of there – don’t bother to pull into a parking space – just drive on through – if you walk into a store don’t try and figure out what isn’t right – or who is out of place – or what doesn’t fit with what you are expecting to see – just turn around and walk your happy ass out of there and come back later . . .

And a bonus piece of free advice – put the fucking phone down and pay attention to what is going on around you . . .

Cutting the Deck – Card Dealing at the Chicken Ranch

The Chicken Rancher and Primitive Man decided to play “Go Fish” – now everybody knows after you shuffle the cards – you cut the cards . . .

Just didn’t quite make the next one . . .

A little card cutting at 50 yards – really good conditions – relatively calm air AND steady hands – the shooting lane really helps with light wind conditions . . .

It’s right at 50 yards from the muzzle to the wood frame – trust me, it doesn’t look any closer in person – if time and scheduling “work” I will try to get y’all a close look at the rifle – it’s pretty cool – and if the stars line up will try to get some 10 and 15 yard stuff with pistols done . . .

All this over a 1 in 19.1 million chance of dying . . .
