One of the “old time” brands that still exist today in the knife world is Hen & Rooster. The bulk of their production is still in Germany with some knives being made in Spain – and of course China. For their “story” you can <<< GO HERE >>> and read it off their site. pretty interesting stuff . . .
But Bruce – they are owned by Frost Cutlery! – Their not “real” Hen & Rooster knives! – Frost Cutlery is kinda the Remington of the knife world – but in a good way . . . Where Remington would inhale a small company ( and some not so small! ) and that would be the last you would see of them – because heaven forbid they might compete with big green – Frost Cutlery has kept several brands alive and for the most part has maintained the quality and reputation of the brand – and in a lot of instances have improved them – go to Frost Cutlery <<< GO HERE >>> and look at the side bar and the listing of brands they sell – some of the brands would have vanished had it not been for the effort by Frost to keep them alive – Note : Frost SELLS a lot of brands on their site – not just their own – enough of this – let’s take a look at this little jewel – and that is an accurate description of this one . . .
This particular knife is a hybrid – the blades are German stainless and the rest is made in Spain – kinda like that Dodge your driving – 75 plus percent of the components are manufactured off shore – but it’s assembled here – so it’s an American car . . .

You’re looking at a “Hen & Rooster Blue Smooth Bone Mini Stockman” – that’s a whole bunch of name for such a little knife – but it’s worth every word – everyone who has handled it all say pretty much the same thing – How do they get so much goody in something that small??
The logo side . . .

And the other side . . .

I be loving the mottled blue color on the bone scales – sweet stuff . . . Not a large knife by any stretch – those are 1 inch squares . . .

A look at the blade logo . . .

And the other side . . .

Just a sweet knife – small enough to fit in a pocket – or purse! – and not take up a lot of room – Sharp right out of the box – well most folks would consider it sharp – I’m jaded in that respect – Wilkinson double edge razor blades from 30 years ago – THOSE were SHARP – just saying . . .
