Do you go from “there’s nothing to listen to on my radio” to “WOW! – there’s a bunch of stuff on my radio” – ASSUMING you have a decent antenna – This is a little dry ( that is an understatement by the way . . . ) but it will help you understand some of the “why” and “how” behind short wave listening . . .

So the whole thing is a fabrication based on the movie “The Day the Earth Stood Still” – or – was the movie put together by the worlds largest propaganda machine ( Hollywood ) to cover up the actual event?? Much like the movie “The Final Countdown” – actual event smoke screened by a movie? – or just a fanciful movie? There’s paranoia – then there’s professional grade paranoia – just saying . . .

How many times did that guy/gal/whatever Rachal Maddow straight faced lie to you – proven lies from 2016 to 2018 – 173 or 174 times? I’ve lost count simply because I grew tired of hearing it and I have had so much smoke blown up my ass that if an autopsy is ever performed on me after my demise it will never be right . . .( wouldn’t you like to have a 100 dollar bill for every time just the word “bombshell” came from its oral orifice? )

PRO TIP : It’s ALL Propaganda . . .

And the actual “first” meeting took place in Nevada at the Nevada Test Site – at least that’s what was related to me – who knows?

Shortwave Dream Receivers and The Golden Years of Shortwave Listening

Started with a Hallicrafters ( don’t remember the model # ) then got my dream receiver for Christmas – it’s at 9:40 in the video – many others since – but that was still the bestest one! ( at least in my memories – LOL! )

All in all a pretty decent movie – good cast for this one – Davis McLean – Charles Bronson – James Gregory – Ralph Taeger – and in her first feature length role, Mary Tyler Moore / uncredited in his role as narrator is Jimmy Stewart . . . for a pretty good WIKI page on the movie CLICK HERE . . .

SPOILER ALERT!! – The BUFF ( the B-52A ) in the opening scenes doesn’t crash, it went on to serve a long and illustrious career with NASA after its role as a movie star and retired gracefully – and if you want to make the road trip you can see it here . . .
