101 Things Every Lock Picker Should Know

When I have spare moments – LMAO – and I’m not doing the nap thing – and want to occupy my time with “fidgety” stuff – lock picking scratches that itch nicely . . .

Places to buy “stuff” – two that I have used that come to mind – sparrowslockpicks.com and covertinstruments.com – start simple and you can always add to your kit – you tube sites to get you started – lock picking lawyer – bosnian bill – sparrows lock picks even has a few up there on the tube.

I am not a lawyer – nor do I play one on television – BUT – if you don’t own the lock you are picking and own what that lock is securing – you might be fucking up – Your Actual Mileage May Vary – just saying . . .

Had to work WAY too many hours/shifts this past 11 days – when your young picking up an extra 8 hour shift or two is kind of a fun thing – when you are an old fart and those extra shifts are 12 hour shifts – there is no gravity – it simply sucks. Got a bunch of posts on the back of the stove – the reality is I hope to drop a bunch of old time radio Halloween stuff on you guys – as far as taking pics and putting real live posts together? Folks – I’m sitting here nodding off in the middle of this . . .

Overheard at dinner . . .

During a DNC dinner, Mrs. Biden leaned over to chat with Chuck Schumer. “I bought Joe a parrot for his birthday. That bird is so smart, Joe has already taught him to say over two hundred words!”

“Very impressive,” said Chuck, “but, you do realize he just speaks the words. He doesn’t really understand what they mean.”

“Oh, I know”, replied Mrs. Biden, “but neither does the parrot.”

2 From Kennesaw Cutlery

Ordered the Kissing Crane Thanksgiving 2021 trapper and a Kissing Crane Pocket Farmer from Kennesaw Cutlery – Sweet Stuff!

Kisssing Crane always comes through with their commemorative knives – and the 2021 Thanksgiving knife is not a disappointment – it is a real good looker . . .

The wood and the brass spacers with the orange bone is real eye pleasing . . .

And the laser engraving on the blades – just cool – almost “busy” – but cool . . .

The flip side looks as good as the front even without the printing and seal – real nice color combination . . .

A look at the belly . . .

Real close to a brand that shall remain nameless as far as fit and finish – and it’s in your pocket at $30 bucks – not $80 to $100 bucks and going North from there!

And I just can’t order one knife – it’s the same shipping cost for 1 or 10 – I just look at it as splitting the cost – don’t laugh, that logic works for my Blushing Bride . . .

So the little “Pocket Farmer” came along to it’s new home . . .

Farmer’s knives / dirt busters / sod busters / workers knives – all have a common theme – inexpensive to produce / low price points = the common working man buys them to use.

No bolsters since they require metal parts – the metal parts require labor to fit and finish – wood was commonly used for “handles” – wood is cheap – there are still knives being made today along those lines – Opinel is one example of this style . . .

In this day and age bone and increasingly composition ( plastics ) have replaced wood for the most part – modern times . . .

The neat part – the colors that can be used – the color goes all the way through – it’s not just paint on wood – the yellow on this is just way cool – the color saturation on your monitor vs my camera? Your actual mileage may vary . . .

Looking “into” the little knife there is a little discoloration on the brass liners – at a price point of $13 bucks I’m not going into a critical “tizzy” about it . . .

And this little knife – at about 6 1/2 inches total length – is just about the sharpest knife I have ever unboxed – I’m talking the sun and the moon and the stars were lined up just so – somebody held their tongue “just right’ – it is ridiculous just how sharp this little darling is . . .

And a little treat for you folks – 3 quick clips on knife making in the modern age – unless you have been involved in modern manufacturing processes it is difficult to conceive the sheer volume . . .
