At 3:40 into this third one makes watching all 3 videos worth the time – all of Paul’s “stuff” usually has little gems in them – but this one is probably THE BEST in any of his videos . . .

Really reaching?? I have been shooting 38 for just short of 40 years – I went to buy my blushing bride some 38 for her birthday – there isn’t any . . . not a box anywhere on a shelf . . . Big Box store – Mom and Pop LGS – all gone!! Did get her some ordered on line – better late than never – BUT – This is the first time in forever shooting 38 that I haven’t been able to duck down to the store and grab a couple of boxes. So . . . I got to looking around for 38 hand guns – local – on line – OH MY GOD – these folks have bought the crap out of them – God Bless Them!! – 38 Special – Been helping folks with social work since 1898 and still in demand today!!

40 years ago today – August 1st 1980 . . .
The Final Countdown was released – for the time it was incredible. The USS Nimitz was somehow swept back in time to December the sixth 1941. And the fun begins . . .
The film technology of the time – either “special effects” or film it for real – CGI did not exist as we know it now – it was incredibly costly and time consuming. This stuff was filmed with real aircraft performing real stunts.
The movie had some real big name actors. . .
The sound track was fantastic, and yes I had the record!
I highly recommend getting a copy and watching it. However you need
to get the widescreen version simply because the true “star” of the movie is
so damned BIG !!
And forty years later – The Nimitz is still on the job!
