Best use of a QUICK 50RDS of TRAINING !

So . . . now you bought your gun – even managed to buy some ammo with it . . . You have figured out what the 4 basic rules of gun safety are . . . got a handle on manipulation of it / loading / unloading / loading and unloading magazines etc. – Why Hell’s Bells Bruce I’ve even shot it and “stuff” – yesterday I couldn’t spell responsible firearm owner – Today I are one . . .

Well folks you are just getting started – gun ownership is a lot like buying a car . . . You pay your money and away you go. Cars are simple -anybody can run into a telephone pole – ask me how I know that!! – LMAO . . . gas in your car = ammo for gun / wash your car = clean your gun / practice driving = practice shooting – you get the idea . . .

This quick little video features Lena Miculek – Jerry’s daughter ( after watching her mannerisms and listening to her speech patterns there is simply no way Jerry can deny that Lena is not his girl ) showing you how to have a good practice session with 50 rounds and a place to shoot – you can even adapt this to an indoor range by simply selecting the right target. BE AWARE – some ranges require you to be “DFH” – Draw From Holster qualified – so please check – ok?? Today is never a good day to give a range safety officer a stroke !! – Let’s watch the video!!

Just love watching her “stuff” . . .

Colt M1991A1

Ain’t she purty?? In a real no nonsense – no frills kinda way??

A close up of the “blems” on the gun – the two spots to the rear of the ejection port is oil reflecting light . . .

This particular Colt was “born” in 1994 – still a young one . . .

This little blurb from WIKI – click anywhere on it to go to the actual page @ WIKI . . .

Colt 1991 Series (1991–2001 ORM; 2001–present NRM): A hybrid of the M1911A1 military model redesigned to use the slide of the Mk. IV Model 80; these models aimed at providing a more “mil-spec” pistol to be sold at a lower price than Colt’s other 1911 models in order to compete with imported pistols from manufacturers such as Springfield Armory and Norinco. The 1991–2001 model used a large “M1991A1” roll mark engraved on the slide. The 2001 model introduced a new “Colt’s Government Model” roll mark engraving. The 1991 series incorporates full-sized blued and stainless models in either .45 ACP or .38 Super, as well as blued and stainless Commander models in .45 ACP.

The part that appealed to a lot of folks – it hearkened back to a bare bones – all business – get down and dirty no frills “slabside” – just a plain old 1911! And For that reason a lot of folks wanted them – and bought them – they simply performed well.

Just plain hard rubber grips – no fancy hardwoods – nothing to worry about scratching or dinging – just taking care of business . . .

Blacked the barrel as well . . .

Front sight – that’s right – no serrations . . .

Rear sight is just as fancy . . .

Fresh out of the bath – all lubed up and ready to go – Damned if that don’t sound . . . Get your mind out of the gutter!!

Look at the feed ramp . . .

Barrel . . . ain’t gonna do nothing with it except run about 500 rounds of hard ball through and polish it the old fashioned way – then maybe a light fluff and buff – right now it ain”t broke so I’m damn sure not going to fix it!!

And the firing pin block – it is an “80” series . . . Trigger Break is a consistent 5 lbs – it is nice for an “80” series – Ain’t 5 lbs a little high?? – Folks ya gotta remember – it is a combat handgun! Not a competition gun . . . – Empty weight with 7 round magazine is 2 lbs 5 oz – it soaks up recoil very nicely and the hard rubber grips work good too . . .

Does it shoot?? – If I leave the sights alone and just bring it up and go – Hell Yes!!

#1 and #2 groups I’m over thinking the sight picture / target picture thing – my blushing bride told me just pull it up and shoot – pretend it’s your Rock Island – so I did – #3 worked pretty good – she jumped my ass about #4 – You’re. Thinking. Too. Much. – Damned if I didn’t know better I think she is actually paying attention to some of the “stuff” I’m trying to insert between her ears about shooting – LOL!!

Groups 1 through 4 run about 1 second splits – she brought the target in – put a black dot in the middle – she loaded the magazine – stuck it in the gun – told me there is somewhere between 1 and 7 rounds in the magazine – the black dot is the “shirt button” – come up fast and dump the mag as fast as the gun will run – DON’T. THINK. JUST. DO. IT. – so I did it – up and dump – that is 5 rounds in about a second and a half – I think I’ll keep her – and the Colt as well!! – LMAO . . .

You Won’t Believe This – Hell I Don’t Believe “IT” and I Was There !!! . . .

I dearly enjoy going into pawn shops – you just never know what you will run across – one of my favorites is GGGPawn on South 132nd St in Omaha – Doug has just a dry enough sense of humor that I can appreciate it – sometimes it borders on the sublime. Bought many pairs of old pattern pliers in good shape from him – I have probably bought 20 or 30 pairs from him and have given away half or more of them – just can’t stand to see somebody struggling with a pair of “new” pliers – they hurt your hand – lousy ergonomics and the metal is so crummy you can feel them flex – just waiting to break.

So my blushing bride and I were out shopping – groceries, guns, and ammo – you know the essentials – and we stopped by to see what Doug had – Bill was working as well and had a really clean XDM in 40cal – the complete big range kit – box – extra grips – 5 magazines – the pistol had a laser installed and Trijicon night sights – upgraded metal guide rod / spring – Really sweet – the price was right and besides – I didn’t have one – so why not?

Doug and Miss Miserable were shooting the breeze – Doug is like – Oh Yeah , Bruce has bought several from me – we were trying to figure out how many – we lost count – Doug says wait a minute – I want to show you guys “this” – he went back and dug two out of the safe . . .

A four inch Python and a six inch Python . . .

The bluing on the 4 inch is as good as can be – immaculate – old school Colt – the bluing on the 6 inch is unbelievable – make the 4 inch look like a Rossi – you can almost go swimming in it – absolutely outstanding!!

Come on Bruce – who gives a flying monkey about an older Colt with good bluing – They all had good bluing “back in the day” !!! Get out of here – your yanking on me – you realize I will never get the precious minutes of my life back that I have spent reading about the bluing on some old Colt??? – an old revolver to boot – Get out of here!!

Then he showed me the caliber roll marking . . .

Colt NEVER produced a Python in 41 Magnum – they did not make them – they do not exist – Period. End. of. Story.

Before we go onGO HERE to a PDF of The American Handgunner from Jan/Feb 1977

Read the article – Colt considered making the Python in 41 magnum – but thought it would never be a “success” as a handgun/cartridge combination – so they didn’t make it – however – they admit to making “several” prototypes of it in the article – and Doug has not one – but two of them – and yes they are for sale – somewhere north of 65,000 to 75,000 per gun ( and I imagine it is VERY far north!! ) – and maybe a little break if you buy both – this is not The Holy Grail of the gun world – it’s a friggin UFO . . .

Forgot to add Doug’s Gun Broker page link – HERE IT IS . . .

Watch it Before It Vanishes . .

We KNOW the media is lying to us – if you doubt it – crawl back into you safe space – that will work until they come for you – the rest of you – you really should watch and pay attention . . .

When are people going to figure “we the people” are allowing ourselves to be “governed” by a death cult??? – pay particular attention at about 19 minutes or so . . .
